Quote: “Think of poor Amy. Within a space of less than 24 hours, her world has collapsed — she’s lost her job, her career, her reputation and maybe even her friends. She is also potentially facing criminal charges and a fine or jail time.
It’s not the first time, and my guess is it won’t be the last. Earlier this year, two 17-year-olds were also arrested after making racist remarks online.
But this is news in the social media age. Fast, furious and unbridled when unleashed.”
Why would you have sympathy to a criminal who committed crime against you. Racism is not something the law would / should have leniency on, especially in Singapore where multi races have came together to make it what it is now -> there should be no superior race that should claim that they are natives etc like China, Malaysia, India, Indonesia. This small island have immigrants from all over from the beginning of its days – primarily the Malays, Indos, Chinese, Indians, Arabs. She committed a crime. However she want to put it, as much as she lashed on the Malays, she is getting what she deserve, her own repercussions.
Then again, if you have the sympathy for her, are you a racist too?
What’s your say?
